This 4 hour face-to-face CPR Course will provide successful students with the Unit of Competency HLTAID001. It is important to note that CPR Refresher courses should be undertaken annually to retain your competency. 

This CPR Training is suited for people working within a role where they are required to have the skills and knowledge to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It is also ideal for anyone with an interest in learning how to provide CPR in response to a casualty in a variety of situations, such as a community or workplace setting. 

The course is conducted in our state of the art training facility, so students will be able to accurately practice the skills they are learning, in a purpose-built environment. The training consists of both theory and practical components, but there will be a particular focus on the hands-on learning, to make sure you are comfortable performing CPR in accordance with the ARC Guidelines, in a real-world situation.

Is this course Nationally Recognised?

Our CPR training is Nationally Recognised Training, and it provides students with the Unit of Competency HLTAID001.

How long does the training day run for?

All courses will start at 8:30am, but students must arrive at 8:15am for registration. The training day will conclude at approximately 11:30am, along with scheduled breaks between these times. So in total, the CPR course should run for about 4 hours. 

Where is the training located?

EXELTrain is located at the EXELNetwork Building, which is 8 Mosrael Place, Rowville 3178. Parking is readily available for free onsite.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We will provide all the training materials and equipment for practical learning. Tea and coffee will be readily available in our kitchen area and students will have access to the lunchroom, facilities and car parking onsite.

Who will be the trainer on the day?

Our CPR trainers Glenn Hickingbotham and Nicholle Gathercole have over 50 years of combined experience at assisting people in emergency situations. We guarantee you'll be taught by the best within the industry and given all the support you require. We also have more information on our trainers, so you can get to know them better.

Do I have to renew my CPR training?

Yes, your CPR training will need to be renewed. In order to remain a 'Competent Person' the qualifaction needs to be refreshed every 12 months. We also offer refresher CPR courses for students coming back.

What is a USI? Do I need one?

A USI is a Unique Student Identifier. It is a reference number that is used to keep a secure record of an individuals recognised training and qualifications. 

If you do not already have a USI you will need create one in order to complete any of our Nationally Recognised training courses.
