hltaid003 - Provide First Aid

Also known as Level 2 First Aid and Senior First Aid


This Nationally Recognised First Aid Course is suitable as both a refresher and for first time students. It will equip students with the highest-level certification available, unit of competency HLTAID003. (This training also includes the CPR - HLTAID001 unit of competency).

Our First Aid class is suited to anyone who requires knowledge of emergency techniques for employment, but is also ideal for anyone who would like to have knowledge of how to effectively assist another person in an emergency situation. This course will prepare students to respond to a variety of emergency situations with skill and confidence. 

The training is delivered face-to-face over 1 full day. Our expert instructors will share their knowledge through both theory and practical methods, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills with our equipment, in our purpose-built training facility

It is important to note, in order to remain competent First Aid qualifications should be renewed every 3 years.

Is this course Nationally Recognised?

Our First Aid course is Nationally Recognised Training, and it provides students with the highest-level certification available: Unit of Competency HLTAID003. This course is also sometimes known as Level 2 First Aid or Senior First Aid.

How long does the training day run for?

All courses will start at 8:30am, but students must arrive at 8:15am for registration. The training day will conclude at approximately 4:30pm, with the majority of the day dedicated to interactive practical learning experience. There will be scheduled breaks during the day also for lunch, coffee and tea.

Where is the training located?

EXELTrain is located at the EXELNetwork Building, which is 8 Mosrael Place, Rowville 3178. Parking is readily available for free onsite.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

We will provide all the training materials and equipment for practical learning. Tea and coffee will be readily available in our kitchen area and students will have access to the lunchroom, facilities and car parking onsite.

Who will be my trainer on the day?

Our First Aid trainers Glenn Hickingbotham and Nicholle Gathercole have over 50 years of combined experience at assisting people in emergency situations. We guarantee you'll be taught by the best within the industry and given all the support you require. We also have more information on our trainers, so you can get to know them better.

What is a USI? Do I need one?

A USI is a Unique Student Identifier. It is a reference number that is used to keep a secure record of an individuals recognised training and qualifications. 

If you do not already have a USI you will need create one in order to complete any of our Nationally Recognised training courses.
